Leak detection audits
Steam trap inspection
Rising energy costs have made steam a very expensive service to waste. Studies have found that a typical plant between 30% and 40% of its steam traps do not work properly. Problems caused by faulty traps range from low thermal efficiencies from steam condensates to water hammer. Using ultrasound, it is possible to clearly determine whether or not there is a steam flow since the turbulent flow generates waves in the ultrasonic range.
Additionally using the same principle you can inspect valves with problems.
Detection of leaks in compressed air lines system
Compressed air is one of the most expensive services in production plants. It is estimated that between 20% to 30% of compressed air is lost due to leaks that cause an overload in the compressors and fluctuations in the system. The turbulence formed by the leaks creates a sound with a large component ondas ultrasónicas.
